At the AGM on 20th May, members voted on the proposal that the Society should be incorporated into the alumnae arm of the school’s Development Office and so cease to exist in its present form. This is a big step for us to take, especially as we have been in existance for 117 years, but because of the lack of members coming forward to keep the society running in its current form, i.e. purely on a voluntary basis, the committee hopes that the move into school will ensure that Red Maids/old girls/alumnae everywhere will still feel part of the Red Maid Family. “Once a Red Maid, always a Red Maid” has been our motto for many decades!

The Extraordinary General Meeting was held at Redmaids’ High on Wednesday 20th September at 16.30, when a Memorandum of Understanding was signed.
